One-Day Yoga Retreat with Melissa Cameron, MS, LPC

Saturday, September 13th

9 am - 5 pm

INSIGHT: A one-day yoga retreat

Join Melissa for a transformative journey of inner connection and renewal led by a psychotherapist and seasoned yoga instructor. This immersive retreat blends the healing practices of mindfulness, curiousity, and meditation with intentional movement and restorative yoga. Together, we’ll explore how the body holds emotion, how the nervous system responds to stress, and how present-moment awareness can unlock deep healing and personal growth.

By combining mindful movement and reflective practices, each participant will have opportunities to use the body-mind connection to access inner wisdom. Through a trauma-informed, compassionate approach, participants will experience the power of being truly seen, held, and supported on their journey.

Whether you're seeking to reduce anxiety, deepen your spiritual practice, or simply step away from the noise of daily life, this retreat invites you to soften, release, and come home to yourself.

During the retreat, participants will be guided through two yoga classes including an all-levels vinyasa yoga and a gentle/restorative practice. There will also be space for 2 meditations after each yoga practice.

This affirming, and inclusive one-day retreat will offer a safe space to enjoy a sense of belonging and a retreat from stress. Using movement, breath, mindfulness, and welcoming conversations, each participant will be exposed to the transformative ancient practices.

All yoga props are included.

No prior yoga or meditation experience required. All bodies and backgrounds are welcome.

We welcome individuals of all identities, backgrounds, and lived experiences. Event hosts agree to create programming and interactions that are free from discrimination based on race, gender identity, sexual orientation, body size, ability, age, religion, or socioeconomic status. Language and practices should be inclusive and accessible.

Belonging

Inclusivity

Inclusivity

ORA is more than a venue—it’s a space where individuals should feel seen, safe, and valued. Hosts are expected to cultivate a sense of community and belonging by honoring the diverse needs and experiences of participants. We encourage practices that center connection over performance or perfection.

Trauma-Informed Approach

Trauma-Informed Approach

Trauma-Informed Approach

All events should be held with sensitivity to the impact of trauma. Hosts are asked to:

  • Offer choices and autonomy to participants
  • Use invitational language (“you’re invited to…” instead of “you must…”)
  • Avoid triggering content or intense emotional processing unless your event is specifically designed and professionally supported to do so
  • Respect personal space, silence, and differing levels of engagement

Respect

Trauma-Informed Approach

Trauma-Informed Approach

We hold mutual respect as a foundation for any experience at ORA. Hosts agree to:

  • Arrive on time and leave the space as it was found
  • Respect participants’ privacy and boundaries
  • Foster a nonjudgmental and collaborative environment
  • Engage with ORA staff, other facilitators, and guests in a spirit of kindness and professionalism

At ORA, we are committed to cultivating a space that nurtures connection, healing, and meaningful engagement. To ensure that every event aligns with our core values, we ask all facilitators, instructors, and event hosts to uphold the Community Agreements.
