Evidence-based is not: “one-size-fits-all” or a guarantee that a specific technique will work the same way for everyone.
Evidence-based is: focused on measurable outcomes (e.g., stress reduction, improved sleep, better emotion regulation) and practices that have plausible physiological mechanisms.
Evidence-based is not: marketing hype, miracle claims, or “do this and you’ll be healed” messaging.
Evidence-based is: adaptable, trauma-aware, and safety-oriented—using dose, pacing, and options to meet the nervous system where it is.
Evidence-based is not: pushing through pain, intensity-for-intensity’s sake, or using shame/pressure as motivation.
Evidence-based is: open to updating when new research emerges and transparent about what’s known vs. still uncertain.
Evidence-based is not: rigid dogma or dismissing traditional wisdom—it just tests, refines, and applies it responsibly.
